Drought.

At a recent NSW State Disaster recovery Meeting, Agencies were advised that the state’s drought declared areas have increased to over 64% of the state. ADRA continues to participate in drought strategy and welfare meetings to address the needs of drought affected families.

In an interesting twist, ADRA is partnering with the Uniting Church in providing assistance to families in the fishing industry on the Clarence River who have been drastically affected by the drought! To date $20,000 of Disaster and Famine relief funds have been distributed to assist drought affected families in this primary industry sector.
