Family history research has been a quiet hobby with
people for many years however of late it has been
booming. Events such as the bicentenary, the new century
and the centenary of the Commonwealth have all added
impetus to this boom.
The Internet has had an impact on both family history
research and access to a diverse range of historical
documents and indexes, including birth, death and
marriages, shipping, libraries, old publications,
newspapers, government gazettes and much more.
There will be a vast range of local Shoalhaven History on
display too, Shoalhaven
Historical Societys 2008 display will take you back
to the Nowra of the 1940s & 50s with photographs of
iconic buildings and streetscapes of Central Nowra.

groups. Along with Transcription agents, Booksellers,
