Charlie The Brahman Steer

Come and visit with Charlie the Four year old Brahaman steer broken into saddle at the 2010 Nowra Show.

Charlie was purchased by his owners Robyn and Garry Nelson (a well known local cattle transporter) when he was just 6 months old. As a youngster Charlie was handled extensively in preparation for the breaking in process. Charlie was broken into saddle by his owner Garry Nelson and his friend Reggie Ryan through a process similar to that of breaking in a horse. Charlie has been under saddle now for more than a year and has featured at both the 2009 and 2010 Nowra Shows as a popular spectator attraction. Charlie mingles with the crowd and has made many friends through his travels.

Below are a range of photos from Charlie's 2009 and 2010 Nowra Show appearances. Should you wish to contact Garry his email address is garrynelson@shoalhaven.net.au

Charlie now is a major attraction at the Nowra Show walking around the showground and making friends with the spectators.
