Founded in the 1970's the Shoalhaven MFC has grown over the years to have one of the finest model flying sites south of Sydney. The flying field has a 120 meter sealed tarmac runway, bounded by grass for use by both propeller and jet aircraft models. There is also a pylon area to FAI standard and a lake, large enough to accommodate float planes, sailing and power boats. Toilet and BBQ facilities are available, as is a Club House, car park and shaded pit area. There are commercial fast food facilities less than 10 minutes away.

Glider and Old Timer models are usually flown at our 2nd field in Fletchers Lane, Bomaderry, where we are able to obtain a NOTAM for 1000ft clearance on contest days. At all other times the CASA regulated 400ft height limit applies. Because of the proximity of Albatross Naval Airfield, a permanent 400ft height limit applies at Archer Race Course.
