The bus is a 1976 Nissan UD
with the coach work by Custom Coaches of Sydney. It is
powered by a UD PD6, 10.3 litre diesel developing 190hp. The
gearbox is 5 speed with an air assisted clutch, exhaust
brakes, driving and fog lights. It holds approx. 450 litres
of diesel fuel with a safe range of 1400 kilometres (the
greatest distance we covered was 1385
kilometres). When purchased it had 49 high
back seats, intercom, cassette radio, jet air and reading
lights.
